Nicknamed "Puppy" by ACDC’s rabbit director, Pancake could almost make you believe he's a dog in a rabbit suit. In fact, we were almost tempted to post Pancake in the dog section as he acts more like a puppy than a rabbit.
It’s hard to believe someone wanted to relinquish Pancake but they did. A woman purchased Pancake from a pet store when he was a baby. Once the novelty of having a rabbit wore off, Pancake was ignored. He was kept in small, urine stained cage in the family garage. He was rarely let out to run and play.
But how Pancake’s luck has changed! Pancake is being fostered in a great home. He is in a roomy exercise pen and has the opportunity to run and play. His foster mom enjoys Pancake’s playful nature. He’s always making her laugh.

Please learn about proper rabbit care before deciding to adopt. Rabbits are NOT easy, low maintenance, “starter” pets! To learn more, check out the websites www.rabbit.org and http://www.bestfriends.org/theanimals/petcare/bunnies.cfm, and the book, House Rabbit Handbook, by Marinell Harriman.
ACDC’s rabbit director can also provide you with a packet of rabbit care information. Contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
