About Sally

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Rabbit
  • Current Age: 4 Years (best estimate)
  • Housetrained: Yes

She may not be a Hollywood star, but Sally sure seems like a shoo-in for the role of Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. Beautiful young girl with big brown eyes? Check. Sweet, gentle personality? Check. Friendly to all she meets? Check (except for wicked witches). Graceful and accomplished dancer? Absolutely---you should see Sally’s leaps and jumps! And that pigtail look? When Sally gazes up into your eyes, her floppy ears look just like pigtails framing her face! So what do you think... a Dorothy shoo-in?!

Sally’s former owner had to move and couldn’t take this wonderful bunny with her. A friend took Sally, hoping she would be a good companion to her own bunny. Unfortunately, it was not a match made in heaven, which is usually the case when rabbits are not spayed/neutered. (Sally will be spayed soon.)

Sally’s foster mom absolutely loves her and describes her as “sweet, happy, and a rabbit who likes to sit in your lap.”  Sally is very affectionate and even likes to give kisses. This pretty girl has personality written all over her! With gorgeous tri-color markings and those adorable lop ears; she’s sure to bring a smile to your lips and an “awwwww” from your mouth!

Sally is being fostered in Philadelphia. To meet her or for more information, please contact We can’t promise that adopting Sally will send you over the rainbow, but with such a loving, happy girl in your home, you are sure to be over the moon!

Please learn about proper rabbit care before deciding to adopt. Rabbits are NOT easy, low maintenance, “starter” pets! To learn more, check out the website and the book, Rabbits for Dummies, by Audrey Pavia. ACDC’s rabbit director can also provide you with a packet of rabbit care information. Contact her at
