Welcome to the latest reality series ... Teen Mom: The Bunny Episodes. Our series begins with a handsome, frisky young male named Blackberry meeting an attractive and charming young girl named Lex . Lex and Blackberry’s human family, believing that Lex had been spayed, were shocked to find themselves with five baby bunnies this past September!
Patches and Grayson are two of these babies. Before their family knew what was happening, both of these girls became pregnant at 5 months of age. (There’s a reason for the saying “reproducing like rabbits”!)
Explaining all the details of this situation, not to mention sorting out who’s who, would take an entire season of Teen Mom. Let’s just say that ACDC’s rabbit experts are trying to help this overwhelmed – but well-meaning and caring – family give these rabbits a safe and healthy environment and eventually find homes for them. Of course, this has involved separating the two sexes, scheduling vet checks and spay/neuters, providing lots of housing and other supplies.....Whew!
As you’ll learn in the Teen Mom episode titled “18 is Enough,” there are plenty of little fur balls appearing in this show. Sisters Grayson and Patches each had a litter of 6 babies in March. Their babies will be weaned by the end of May, and then it will be time for these Teen Bunny Moms to find homes of their own (after being spayed, of course).
Can you possibly help us by providing a good home to one of these beautiful and very sweet bunnies? They are currently living in King of Prussia (PA) and would be happy to have you visit.
Grayson is listed as a private adoption as a courtesy to her owner. For further information or to set up a time to meet Grayson e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please learn about proper rabbit care before deciding to adopt. Rabbits are NOT easy, low maintenance, “starter” pets! To learn more, check out the website www.rabbit.org and the book, Rabbits for Dummies, by Audrey Pavia. ACDC’s rabbit director can also provide you with a packet of rabbit care information.
